Another very successful concert with the impressive Marshfield Men. We had a very varied programme with both choirs changing mood and style through the 4 sets. We were very grateful to have Graham Coatman, CMVC’s MD, to play solo piano pieces (the Chopin piece is my favourite). Of course with all joint concerts coming together to sing is very enjoyable and with 50+ male voices we filled all four corners of the church which was packed with a very appreciative audience.
We had a great time by the seaside in our first away fixture for many years at Budleigh Salterton. We were kindly invited by the Budleigh Salterton Male Voice Choir and the concert was to raise funds for their chosen charity. Two choirs together makes for a powerful sound and the pieces chosen by each choir were very different. For CMVC we gave a first outing for our Les Miserables medley to add to some of our old favourites
Our first Concert for 2025 was held on Saturday 25th January, 2025, at The Cause, Chippenham, in aid of Chippenham Twinning Association. Feedback has been very positive from all sources. Our performance was helped by the warmth of the venue (much improved on St Andrew’s Church in December!) which, along with the repertoire having songs more familiar to us, and the enthusiasm shown by the audience, contributed to the overall atmosphere of the evening!

Our final Concert last Year – The Annual Cracker Concert on 14th December at St. Andrew’s Church, Chippenham – was shared with The Chippenham Town Band and our very own Marie Elliott who has supported us for the past 5 years. She is a renowned Mezzo Soprano and was accompanied by our own Anthea Turner.
The church was full but quite cold as the heating had failed the day before so teeth were chattering a little bit. Those members of the audience who were spoken to did say that they had enjoyed the evening despite the cold!
