We are now kitted out with our new uniforms, thanks to donations to the cost from Chippenham Town Council and Chippenham Borough Lands Charity.
We underwent a photoshoot on Monday 24th February, so our next advertising posters, and a couple of pages here on the website, will show us resplendent!
Our next major concert will be on Saturday 28th March at St Andrew’s Church, Chippenham in support of Chippenham Rotary Club charities, where we will be supported by the very popular End of The Track (EOTT) group. EOTT sing 60s & 70s style music and perform around 50 gigs a year for various organisations, raising money for Julia’s House Hospice in Devizes [It just so happens that half of EOTT sing with CMVC – and the other half used to!]. See our Contacts page for a link to the EOTT website. Tickets for this Concert will be released soon by Chippenham Rotary Club, and will be on sale at various outlets around the town.
We are happy to say that a few new faces have given us a try at recent rehearsals, but we’re still looking to swell our numbers (particularly in the top tenor and bass sections), so –
– Are you one of the many people who sing in the shower or at work, or perhaps you are an inveterate whistler or hummer?
– Do you like most forms of good music whether it be Bach, Beatles or Queen?
– Would you enjoy mixing with a group of men who are as friendly as you could wish to meet?
If the answer is “yes” to any or all, then Chippenham Male Voice Choir is for you!! Do give us a try – Ring Phil Dyke on 01249 782692 or just turn up on a Monday night rehearsal at 7:30pm St Peter’s Church, Frogwell, Chippenham.
