Chippenham Male Voice Choir - flourish and entertain audiences across Wiltshire and beyond | CHIPPENHAM MALE VOICE CHOIR
Choir News – December 2021
It’s nearly time for this year’s main appearance!
This will be on Thursday 16th December for our annual Christmas Cracker Concert at St Andrew’s Church, Chippenham, where we are being supported again by The Bratton Silver Band and Mezzo Soprano Marie Elliott.
This is a popular event and tickets will disappear very quickly so an early call will ensure you get a ticket. Book early for Christmas
We have decided that this year our retiring collection will be for Julia’s House which is a Children’s Hospice in Dorset and Devizes in Wiltshire. It provides practical and emotional support for families caring for a child with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition.
Moving away from our Cracker Concert, are you one of the many people who sing in the shower or at work, or perhaps you are an inveterate whistler or hummer? Do you like most forms of good music whether it be Bach, Beatles or Queen? Would you enjoy mixing with as friendly a group of men as you could wish to meet?
You would? Then Chippenham Male Voice Choir is for you.
Rehearsals have been under way since August at St Peter’s Church, Frogwell, Chippenham and continue each Monday night.
Don’t worry about rehearsals though. Under the watchful eye of musical director Howard Topper, they are hard work but fun.
Yes, it helps if you can read music but it’s not an essential requirement.
The choir has established a reputation in the locality for giving concerts for charity and other occasions to many appreciative audiences.
Interested – then why not give it a try? Ring Phil Dyke on 01249 782692 or just turn up on a Monday night for rehearsal at 7:30pm St Peter’s Church, Frogwell, Chippenham.
